Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange’s (EGX) indices witnessed varied performance during the first month of 2020.

The benchmark index, EGX30, fell 0.31% to 13,918 points, while the EGX70 index grew by 0.67% to 538.04 points.

The EGX100 index went down by 0.21% to 1,395 points and the equally-weighted index EGX50 shed 1.6% to 1,935 points.

Market capitalisation decreased to EGP 708.1 billion over the month, compared to EGP 708.3 billion in the previous month.

The EGX’s trading volume registered 3.39 billion shares, while the market’s turnover reached EGP 47.3 billion.
